New in 2025: IDCheck for Faster, Safer Shared Branching

To enhance security and streamline your experience, SCCU and other participating credit unions will begin using IDCheck by Co-op for all out-of-state Shared Branching transactions starting May 1, 2025.

This simple identity verification tool allows you to preload your information before visiting a branch - saving time and helping reduce fraud.

How IDCheck Works:

  1. Scan the QR Code in the lobby or access the verification site before arriving.

  2. Enter Your Information:

    • Select your credit union from the dropdown

    • Enter your member number

    • Provide the last 4 digits of your Social Security number

  3. Upload Your ID:

    • Take a picture of the front and back of your government-issued ID

  4. Take a Selfie

    • Store your selfie securely for future visits

  5. Receive Your Verification Code

    • Show this code to the teller within 20 minutes to complete your transaction

If you’re unable to complete the IDCheck process, don’t worry—SCCU tellers can still verify your identity using alternate methods.
